Little Mix star Perrie Edwards says she wished those prying into her private life during her split from Zayn Malik would "f**k of".

The singer broke up with the former One Direction man in 2015 after being engaged for a couple of years.

It was played out in the media and online as people speculated why the split happened.

Speaking in the May issue of Cosmopolitan, Edwards said people should stay away from those going through tough times.

The Brit said: "When it's your personal life, something you're going through, I think people should f**k off and have respect.

"At the end of the day, we are real people going through real things."
