Little Mix's Perrie on new album writing sessions: 'It has been like therapy'

Perrie Edwards, of Little Mix fame, has opened up about working on the group's next album and confessed that they're getting very real where subject matter for potential songs is concerned.

Chatting to Sugarscape about the album, songstress Perrie Edwards admitted that they have been writing about very personal things and real issues, and the process so far has been very cathartic:

"It's very - and I know we probably said this about the last album - honest. It's very (much about) what's been happening in the past few months or the past year."

"We've been through a lot personally, emotionally and career-wise. Every aspect, we've wanted to just get off our chest and the best way to do it is with this album... That's why we're loving it so much. It's like therapy."

In mid-July, Little Mix shared a tweet with their Mixers and suggested that new music would be coming "soon". Edwards also told OK! magazine that their next record might feature a very exciting collaboration: “Hopefully there’ll be a few surprises on there, I actually cried when I heard a certain person wanted to collaborate with us... I can’t say anything yet in case it doesn’t happen, I don’t want to jinx it.”
