Jesy Nelson's future mother-in-law defends Little Mix's stage attire

Jesy Nelson's future mother-in-law has backed Little Mix after their stage wear was criticised for being too risque.

The girl group performed their new single 'Shout Out To My Ex' on the X Factor on Sunday (October 16).

However, they were criticised for wearing clothes that apparently looked more like 'strippers' than singers.

Speaking on ITV's Loose Women, Nelson's future mother-in-law Coleen Nolan said no-one makes a fuss about Beyoncé when she performs.

She said: "Goodness me. Really they had kind of swimsuits on and that was it. They didn’t have their boobs out.

"When they first came out they were a very sweet and innocent girl band. Over the years, as you do, you develop as a woman, you experience life more.

'They go out there. They’re so confident with themselves. They are all different shapes and sizes. They say, “this is me”. I’ve seen a lot worse. No one screams and shouts when Beyoncé comes out!

"'I am biased they are talking about my future daughter-in-law, and I won’t have it."

Nelson got engaged to Nolan's son Jake Roche - of Rixton fame - in 2015.
