Little Mix: 'We do look after ourselves now and we have grown up a lot'

'Shout Out To My Ex' hitmakers Little Mix have revealed that they are now financially stable after figuring out how to manage their money.

Songstress Perrie Edwards told The Sun newspaper that at the beginning of their career, which has gone from strength to strength, they weren't great with money although they learned a hard lesson quickly:

"We were really bad with money at first. When you get famous really quickly, you get given a bit of money off the label and you think, 'I am really rich', and then you spend it all on a holiday and before you know it, you have got nothing left."

Jade Thirlwall went onto add that they initially moved into an apartment in Notting Hill because they had heard it was the place to be, but soon realised that it wasn't sustainable: "It was very expensive at the time. We didn't realise as we had just moved to London and we thought Notting Hill was a famous area so we just moved there. We lived there and then had to move as it was too expensive."

Leigh-Anne Pinnock admitted that while their penthouse was beautiful, they grew up quickly and are now much more responsible financially: "Jesy and I had this sick penthouse – it was like a bachelor’s pad. We do look after ourselves now and we have grown up a lot.”
