Lorde's 'Pure Heroine' achieves post-Grammys sales boost

Lorde's debut album has enjoyed a notable sales boost after the singer won two gongs and performed at the Grammy Awards.

The New Zealand starlet bagged the Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance prizes at the ceremony in late January. She also performed her smash hit track 'Royals' live.

Billboard have now confirmed that her 2013 debut record 'Pure Heroine' saw US sales go up by 85% in the week after the Grammys, meaning that it bounced from No.5 to No.3.

Bruno Mars, who won the Best Pop Vocal Album Grammy, saw sales of his 2012 record 'Unorthodox Jukebox' rise by 180% as it moved from No.18 to No.7.

One of the most staggering Grammys boosts meanwhile came with Daft Punk's 'Random Access Memories', which rose from No.39 to No.10 - a sales increase of 3,000%.
