Lorde announces one-off London show

Lorde will perform live in London this summer.

The singer, who shot to fame last year on the back of her hit track 'Royals', will play the Brixton Academy on June 6.

Tickets for the event will go on sale from April 26 priced at £24.

The news, however, comes off the back of the 17-year-old New Zealander postponing an Australian tour as a result of ill health.

The run was due to open on April 24 and last for eight shows, but it will be rescheduled.

The singer said on Twitter: "In case you missed the announcement earlier, I have had to postpone my Australian shows because of a nasty chest infection and general ill health. I am so so gutted to have to do this but my parents and my team stepped in telling me I needed a break after being non-stop since the Grammys in January.

"We will 100% be back for this tour (most likely in November) so don't worry about that. I just need time to get back to full Gollum girl fitness before I go out playing shows again."
