Lorde has revealed more details about her upcoming Hunger Games song.

The singer recently confirmed that she is curating the soundtrack to The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 movie, which will hit cinemas on November 21.

The New Zealander also revealed that she would be writing a new single for the album.

Lorde posted on Twitter on Monday (September 22) that the tune is called 'Yellow Flicker Beat', with its artwork looking like a book cover.

The song will be released on September 30.

Speaking previously about the news, Lorde said: "Curating the soundtrack for such a hotly-anticipated film was a challenge, but I jumped at the chance. The cast and story are an inspiration for all musicians participating and, as someone with cinematic leanings, being privy to a different creative process has been a unique experience. I think the soundtrack is definitely going to surprise people."
