Lorde 'heartbroken' that Hunger Games project is over

Lorde has spoken of her sadness at concluding her recent Hunger Games project.

The singer curated the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, which is released today (November 17) in the UK.

It saw her release the single 'Yellow Flicker Beat' as well as invite other artists - such as Charli XCX and Grace Jones - to appear on the record.

Bang Showbiz quotes the 18-year-old as saying that she is now devastated that the campaign is over.

She said: "It was fun getting to approach my favourite musicians and just say something to them for this project.

"I feel like school camp has ended and I'm heartbroken this project is over."

Speaking meanwhile about how she contacted other singers, Lorde added:

"I DM-d a lot of people and Instagram DM-d a lot of people. It wasn't very professional, it was very teenage.

"I guess we just kind of cold-called a lot of people and they were like, 'Who's this weirdo'."

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 meanwhile will hit cinemas in the UK from November 20.
