Lorde is 'experimenting' with new things in the recording studio

'Team' songstress Lorde recently started the creative process for her next album and her 'Pure Heroine' co-writer and producer Joel Little has now provided Billboard with a progress update.

Speaking to the publication recently, Little explained that they're in the very early stages and are just experimenting with sound and styles at the moment because they're not working under a specific time limit:

“We’ve written a couple of songs. We haven’t done a whole lot of production on it yet, we just want to make sure the songs are really good and try and experiment with some new things -- just different beats and whatever occurs in the studio.”

Little went onto add that because there's no release date set in stone, they're “not pigeonholing ourselves in any particular way" and are "just trying new things. We can take the time to make sure we’ve explored every option.”
