Lorde on second album: 'I feel much calmer this time around'

Superstar Lorde is working on her highly anticipated sophomore record and has revealed how she's feeling about the project so far.

Speaking to her as of yet untitled second album, the 'Team' songstress explained in a blog post that she feels more sure of herself and confident where her sound and style are concerned:

"First records are like meeting someone and feeling that need to do everything, just in case for whatever reason, you run out of time, or they stop feeling the same way as you. I feel much calmer, more comfortable in my love of doing this, and its apparent love of me, this time around. So there's that."

'Pure Heroine' co-writer Joel Little recently gave Billboard an update about the recording process: “We’ve written a couple of songs. We haven’t done a whole lot of production on it yet, we just want to make sure the songs are really good and try and experiment with some new things -- just different beats and whatever occurs in the studio.”
