'Tennis Court' songstress Lorde has revealed that she is "finishing" her highly anticipated second studio album. 

To date, the New Zealand-based star's only full-length offering is 2013's 'Pure Heroine', but she has been working hard on a new record for some time and confirmed to followers on Instagram this week that it's almost done. 

Lorde shared a photograph of herself holding a baby and included the exciting information in the following caption:

"Four weeks ago I was lucky enough to witness the delivery of my beautiful best friend's baby boy. We've been friends for 10 years - I can't really describe to you how emotional and life-changing it was to be part of this with her. Had my last cuddle yesterday and now I'm back to work in the states finishing this record, but I thought you might like to meet my perfect godson, Oscar Robin."
