Ludacris opens up about new album, confirms Usher collaboration

U.S rapper Ludacris has opened up about his forthcoming album 'Ludaversal' and revealed that it will be full of "surprises".

This new record will be the 'Area Codes' hitmaker's eighth and he explained to Billboard that he has already collaborated with R&B superstar Usher on one of its tracks, and there are many more exciting plans to be realised as it's still "in the beginning stages":

"Usher is one person that I've already worked with and in terms of other artists, you can say that there's going to be a lot of surprises on here."

"I get the beats together and I put out my ideas, so I'd say we're maybe about 40 percent done."

His last offering was 2010's 'Battle Of The Sexes' and he added that the two year break was great as it gave him so much material to work with:

"It's been a minute since I've been away from music, and there is just so much to talk about. So [the album] is mostly about my personal life, my travels, my experiences, rumors, gossip -- you know, everything coming together in one."
