Marina promises diverse debut albumMarina and the Diamonds has promised that her debut album will trail a "diverse" array of sounds. The 'Hollywood' singer, who came second in the BBC Sound of 2010 poll, claimed that The Family Jewels has a "leftfield" feel to it. "I think it's a really diverse album stylistically speaking because I'm such a flexible writer," she told ClashMusic. "So there's a lot of pop on it, but there's kind of a lot of leftfield experimental stuff as well. Its basically an album about what not to be." The 23-year-old, who grew up in Wales, revealed that she taught herself how to make music. "I don't come from a musical background and I sort of started producing songs on my own," she said. "I probably have a bit of a different sound because I don’t really know what I'm doing!" Watch an acoustic version of 'Hollywood' below:
