Maroon 5 expected to reach No.1 on Billboard albums chart

Maroon 5 are due to land their second No.1 album in the States.

The group released their new effort 'V' on Tuesday (September 2) and Billboard have confirmed that it is selling well.

They suggest that the record is estimated to shift over 150,000 units during its first week on sale.

This means that it should give Maroon 5 their second No.1 album in the US.

They achieved their first chart-topping record in the States with their 2007 sophomore effort 'It Won't Be Soon Before Long'.

2010's 'Hands All Over' and their fourth album 'Overexposed' both reached No.2 in the US.

Jeezy's 'Seen It All: The Autobiography' meanwhile is expected to land at No.2 on next week's Billboard chart behind Maroon 5.
