Maroon 5 say latest album could be their last

Maroon 5 have suggested that their new record could be their last.

The band recently released their fifth album 'V', but the group told Digital Spy that they could be tempted to call it quits.

Singer Adam Levine - possibly with tongue in cheek - said: "Just for the record, we might break up. That's the secret to our success, because everyone thinks that each record is our last. This record might be our last, who knows?"

Guitarist James Valentine added: "Five is a nice round number for us."

Levine said: "It worked for The Police. If The Police did five albums, then we'll do five albums. I'll never go solo, though. Not until I go solo!"

Maroon 5 meanwhile admitted in a recent interview that they might take a break after touring 'V'.

They have live commitments until June next year.
