Adam Levine claims that 'Moves Like Jagger' isn't self-indulgent

Maroon 5's frontman, Adam Levine, has opened up about concerns over the self-indulgent implications of his new single's title and claims that 'Moves Like Jagger' isn't autobiographical in any way.

The sexy singer explained to the Daily Star newspaper that the song is about people in general and he doesn't want to come off as 'cocky' or for anyone to think he is likening himself to the Rolling Stones legend:

"It was a bit of a bold statement to make in a song and I was worried about the cockiness of it all. It’s not meant to be about me moving like Jagger, honest. It’s about everyone moving like Jagger."

"It’s about encouraging people to lose their self-consciousness on the dance fl oor and just move, like Mick used to. Then, the more I thought about it, the more I was turned on by the cheekiness and audacity of the song, so we went with it.”

Meanwhile, UK hitmaker Example commented on the recurrent similarites of titles that have recently entered the singles chart and tweeted:

"'Swagger Jagger'. Now 'Moves Like Jagger'. What's next? 'Moves Like A Swagger Jagger'? Someone give me a dagger."
