Maroon 5 ask fans to contribute content for new video

Maroon 5 are giving fans the chance to help create their next music video.

The popular band have announced that their next single will be called 'Daylight' and that they will run a special video contest to help make the accompanying video.

The Daylight Project asks fans to film specific scenes, such as talking about what you love or hate.

The contest is open until October 1 and is open to US residents only. Speaking about the idea, the band said:

"We need YOUR help for our next music video. We're asking YOU to record and share 'YOUR story', and that recording may be handpicked to appear in the video for our third single, 'Daylight', directed by Jonas Akerlund."

More information about The Daylight Project can be found through the band's official channels and social networking websites.
