Singer Mary J. Blige has revealed that she really looks up to Jennifer Lopez and thinks she's a fantastic role model. 

During an interview with Details magazine, the star explained that she has always admired Lopez's confidence and approach to her career, which has seen significant longevity over the years and in different creative outlets:

"I have to look at Jennifer Lopez. She's a powerful businesswoman, a sweet lady, a sex symbol. No one's telling her she's too old, because she has confidence."

Blige, meanwhile, also recently spoke out about her love for British singer-songwriter Sam Smith and told Ryan Seacrest that he's an 'honest and beautiful' soul:

"He’s so honest and so genuine. He’s a beautiful person. I don’t say it unless it’s real. I don’t care about being Hollywood friends and all that. If I like you, I like you. If we’re friends, we’re friends. And I believe I have a friend in Sam cause we got to know each other. He’s just a beautiful, down-to-earth professional. He’s where he is right now because he deserves to be. He earned it. And he has that voice. He’s cool with just being just Sam.”
