Rose May Alaba grew up in Vienna with her Philippino mother, Nigerian father, and her older brother David. From the age of six her talent became obvious as she emulated her idols Whitney and Christina. Over the years since, she has developed into an all-round encompassing talent: not only is she a singer – she is also an excellent musician, dancer and some would even describe her as an influencer and ‘fashionista’. She is an aspirational figure to her peers and her fans as a strong, confident, visually vibrant and empowered young woman and artist.

Rose May writes her own songs, plays the piano and the guitar and puts on show-stopping concerts with her phenomenal and loyal hand-picked background dancers. Her strength is her versatile and unique voice but for her, she has to give her fans 100% - and that means putting on the best shows they have ever seen!

She started doing pop which got her to the top of the Austrian iTunes Charts, where she landed on #1 with her single, "Love Me Right". The absolute highlight of her career so far, she said, was performing the unified song, "Can You Feel It", which she wrote herself, at the Special Olympics 2017.

After working with different producers she discovered the love for Afro Beat which brought her 360 degrees back to her roots. She decided to go to Nigeria and work with different producers such as Young John, Kiddominant, Chopstix, Spotless and Sovida on the Beat.

With her latest singles "50/50" ft. Mayorkun, "Go Down Low," she's not only proud to have stepped onto the ground in her ancestral home of Nigeria, and to imbibe musical inspiration from it, she has also brought the sound of Afro Beat, back to her hometown of Vienna, Austria, where she was born and raised.

And now, this young and charismatic artist brings freshness and unique vocals to her latest single - the Afro Beat love song, ‘Crazy,’ where she asserts to her lover that she would go the extra mile for the person she loves:

"I ran many miles
to find someone like you"

Well. We’d be crazy not to agree wouldn’t we?!
