Matt Cardle doesn't want to work with super producers like RedOne

Matt Cardle has admitted that he is so relieved not to have been "shipped away" to work with super-producers after winning The X Factor last year.

The 'Run For Your Life' hitmaker revealed to the Daily Star newspaper that at 28-years-old he's "done all the changing I'm going to" and is glad that his team and label bosses haven't tried to change him dramatically:

"Thankfully, I've not been shipped away to have a song written for me by RedOne and Stargate, only for me to come back going, 'Look I'm a popstar'. Because obviously I'm not. At 28 I've done all the changing I'm going to. It winds me up when people who are normal and lovely, then get a bit of success on the show and come back as a big diva."

"What happened to you in that last year which makes you think. 'I'm f**king amazing'? You're just the same person you were before you went on."

Referring to his fellow X Factor winners, Shayne Ward, Leon Jackson and Joe McElderry, Cardle added:

"It might seem like there's huge pressure on me to succeed after past male X Factor winners have struggled but all I can do is write the best I've ever written and sing the best I can sing and make sure the songs are from the heart."
