Matt Cardle releases video for 'Anyone Else'

Matt Cardle has unveiled the video for 'Anyone Else'.

The track, the follow-up to October single 'It's Only Love', is taken from the X Factor champion's second album 'The Fire', and will be released on December 31. 'The Fire' debuted at number eight in the official albums chart earlier this year.

The video sees Cardle perform the song at London's Playhouse Theatre. He explains the lyrics to 'Anyone Else' as being "not being able to make up my mind whether I want to sleep around or not!

"If you're a dancer you can move to it, it's got a good groove."

The 29-year-old recently left former record label Sony for So Recordings, which led to rumours that Cardle made the decision over Sony's decision to focus on promoting labelmates One Direction.

However, Cardle denied that there was any bad blood between him and Sony, saying to The Sun: "I just wanted to be a priority - at that stage of the game I had to be. If I wasn't, I would have rotted on Sony and nothing would have happened.

"I would just have been left to get on with it while One Direction ruled the planet. Which is brilliant for them - I'm so proud of them - but I needed to be a bit selfish. I asked Sony to let me go and they said OK."
