Matthew Morrisons debuts first single

Matthew Morrison dropped by Ryan Seacrest's radio show this morning (February 28) to premiere his debut solo single and to chat about the record.

It's called 'Summer Rain' and despite his role as the clean cut teacher Mr. Schuester in hit U.S show 'Glee', has moved away from the pop-infused music featured on the show and is more in the singer-songwriter vein. This track in particular has some pretty raunchy lyrics, too:

"Your eyes are beggin’ me to touch you there/Could be a thousand people watchin’ but we don’t care"

"There’s no place that I’d rather make love to you/Right here on this roof, yeah"

Speaking to Seacrest after the world premiere of the track, Morrison said:

"I love it though, it never gets old."

"I kind of wanted to stay a little bit away from 'Glee'. And also you know, somebody, they kind of pressured me at the begging to do like a bunch of covers. And I thought to be taken really seriously as an artist I had to write my own songs, so that's what I did."

The song is available to stream from ryanseacrest.com and hasn't yet surfaced elsewhere, but you can watch him perform 'Sway' live at The Grove in L.A below:
