Matthew Morrison announces UK tour

'Glee' heartthrob Matthew Morrison will be coming over to the UK in June to perform at arenas across the country with the rest of the show's cast, but has announced his own exciting plans.

Morrison, who plays everyone's favourite go-to teacher Mr. Schuester on the hit U.S series, will play a string of his very own headlining dates separate to the 'Glee Live!' tour in June, this year.

The singer-songwriter and actor popped into Radio 1 this morning to reveal the news and tweeted:

"Just announced my 1st UK tour this June exclusively on Radio 1. Tix go on sale 9am on Friday. Go to www.matthewmorrison.com for more info!"

He will perform at the following venues:

  • June 7 - Glasgow's Clyde Auditorium
  • June 9 - Manchester Apollo
  • June 10 - Birmingham's NIA
  • June 11 - The Brighton Centre
  • June 13 - Hammersmith Apollo in London

His self-titled debut album will be released on Mercury Records on May 30 and tickets for his newly announced tour go on sale this coming Friday, April 1. Watch his interview on BBC's Radio 1 from this morning, March 28, here:
