Singer and 'Glee' actor Matthew Morrison has revealed that he celebrated Christmas back in the spring because he was recording a holiday album and had to get himself into the mood. 

The EP, entitled 'A Classic Christmas', was released in November and he confessed to the press that in order to feel the spirit of the festive season he hung lights and made it feel like December:

"We put up some Christmas lights and created a festive vibe. It just shows that it is never too early to get into the Christmas spirit."

Morrison added that picking songs to make up the record's tracklisting was challenging because there are so many he loves, but he went with the cuts that brought back childhood memories:

"Selecting the tracks to sing was hard. Whenever I hear certain Christmas songs, it brings me back to my childhood."
