Dougie Poynter has seemingly confirmed speculation that Ellie Goulding and Niall Horan once dated.

The McBusted man is currently in a relationship with the 'Burn' beauty.

She is rumoured, however, that have previously had a fling with One Direction's Horan.

McBusted are due to support the boyband in Australia this month and Poynter told the country's AAP that there is no bad blood between himself and Horan.

The bassist said: "We're all big enough and ugly enough to not really care...we all have exes don't we?

"It's not a big deal, it's not like it was a marriage."

It has been widely speculated meanwhile that Ed Sheeran's 2014 song 'Don't' was written about Goulding having a fling with Horan shortly after they had been together.
