McFly musician Tom Fletcher has been permanently branded with the name of his new supergroup – McBusted – after losing a game of “tattoo roulette”.

McBusted sees British guitar pop group McFly teaming up with Matt Willis and James Bourne of Busted for a string a live dates together.

Tom Fletcher revealed the reason behind his new McBusted foot tattoo on Twitter.

The ‘It’s All About You’ singer explained:

“I lost tattoo roulette... I've got the worlds worst band name on my foot... forever.”

He added: “It all came down to a tense game of rock/paper/scissors between me and @dougiemcfly. Best of 3. Rock let me down.”

Both bands have previously joked about the McBusted name as Matt Willis has said:

“We'd gone through regretting it, and now we embrace it. We think actually, it's so s**t, we quite like it! There was a really s**t list of names, and this was the only possible one. It was the best of a really bad bunch.”

Fletcher himself joked: “Bustfly, they were all on there. I challenge anyone to work out a better one!”
