McFly stars climb Ben Nevis for charity

McFly members Tom Fletcher and Harry Judd spent the weekend climbing Scotland's Ben Nevis mountain for charity.

The pair scaled the summit on Sunday, August 7 and the money they raised through sponsorship will be donated to underprivileged children in the Peruvian island of Amantani. Tweeting after the tough climb, Judd wrote:

"Climbing Ben Nevis isn't too hard, but climbing it with 16kg on your back is REALLY HARD!! Thank you so much for your all your donations...x"

"The money raised by all the climbers today will go towards educating Peruvian teenagers for a whole year. X"

Recently engaged Fletcher also used the social networking site to tell fans that he had succeeded in reaching the top, and in a solid time, adding, "we did it!!! Me and @mcflyharry climbed Ben Nevis with a BLOODY heavy weight on our backs. Reached the summit in 3hrs25 in miserable weather."
