McFly eyeing up the US

McFly have told Billboard magazine that they intend to play some special shows on American soil this September.

Tom Fletcher said: "We've been wanting to do that for years and years and years and years. But we've just never had the opportunity, or something else has come up.

"We have some fans in America that have been fans for like eight or nine years -- right from the beginning -- so much so that they fly over to see us in the U.K. It's amazing that they are so dedicated. So I think we owe it to them to come over."

McFly have only released one album Stateside, 'Just My Luck' which tied in with the film of the same name starring Lindsay Lohan in which the band played a cameo part.

The plan is to pop over to America after the current tour is finished, and after the band have recorded some tracks for their sixth studio album this June.
