McFly's Tom Fletcher: "Songwriting trip was a blast"

McFly's Tom Fletcher says the band's American writing trip has been an "absolute bloomin blast".

Along with bandmates Danny Jones and Dougie Poynter, Fletcher jetted off to the US a couple of weeks ago to work on new material.

The band have posted updates on their Twitter pages throughout their 14-day jaunt, and now Fletcher has revealed the productive trip has come to an end.

Taking to the social networking site, the singer wrote: "Just finishing the last writing session of our 2 week USA trip. Been an absolute bloomin blast! (sic)."

Drummer Harry Judd didn't join his bandmates in America as he is currently training for the marathon.

Meanwhile, Fletcher, Poynter and Jones took some time out of their songwriting schedule to get involved in the latest 'Harlem Shake' craze.

The boyband hunks - dressed in panda onsesies - go crazy in the video which is to help raise awareness for WWF's Earth Hour at 8.30pm on 23 March.

The campaign aims to get everyone to switch off their lights for an hour.
