Today rising pop star Astrid S releases ‘Someone New’, out now via Virgin EMI Records / Universal Music Norway. The track, co-written by Charli XCX, is a catchy, melodic pop anthem with an energetic bassline paired perfectly with the Norwegian pop star’s stand-out vocal talent. ‘Someone New’ is Astrid’s first release of 2019 and comes just off the back of a successful tour of UK and Europe with Years & Years.

Of ‘Someone New’, Astrid says: “’Someone New’ is a song about being a little obsessed with an ex. I wanted it to sound a bit childish and desperate, but still have a chorus you can sing along to in your car. I made it with Noonie Bao, Charli XCX, Jakob Hazell and Svante Halldin. I’m very excited for people to hear it.”

The rising pop star recently announced her slots on both Vevo DSCVR’s ‘Ones to Watch 2019’ and Youtube’s Artists to Watch 2019, and hitting the one billion streams mark across platforms - proving that the pop star has no intentions of slowing down.

Astrid S will return to the US to play two sold out shows this month, including one at the Moroccan Lounge, LA and Rough Trade, NYC. Dates below:
25th February – Moroccan Lounge, LA – Sold Out
28th February – Rough Trade, NYC – Sold Out
