Robbie Williams gets an early Christmas present with the news that he has reached the amazing feat of equalling Elvis Presley’s chart record as the solo artist with the most UK Number 1 albums.

Robbie’s new festive album ‘The Christmas Present’ tops the chart this week, giving him his 13th UK Number 1 album which is already certified gold. It’s also the first artist album that has climbed up to the coveted Number 1 spot in more than two years, having entered the chart at Number 2 last week.

Robbie’s total chart-topping albums across his solo work and records released with Take That is 17. It places him in the top three acts of all time with the most Number 1s across their catalogue.

Robbie said today: “This feels absolutely incredible. More than any of the other albums, this one in particular just feels extra special. I feel vital and I want more. Thank you to everyone who’s supported this album and to everyone who’s bought it, streamed it and downloaded it. I’m going to celebrate by having a kebab, genuinely.”

This weekend on December 8 at 8pm, ITV1 will premiere ‘Not The Robbie Williams Christmas Show’, a dazzling night of music and entertainment filmed at London’s Alexandra Palace. During the show, Robbie will perform a selection of his huge hits plus Christmas classics and new songs taken from his Number 1 album. Robbie will be joined on the show by special guests Jamie Cullum and David Walliams.

What’s more, on Dec 16 and 17 Robbie will celebrate Christmas and the album with two very special shows at London’s SSE Arena, Wembley. As previously announced, Robbie will also play his first ever show at Stoke-on-Trent’s Vale Park Stadium on June 20, 2020. The special homecoming show will benefit two local charities: The Donna Louise Hospice For Children and Young People, and The Hubb Foundation, plus national charity UNICEF UK.
