Today the sixth episode of ‘The Missing’ is released across all podcast streaming platforms - listen here. This latest episode investigates the case of Suzy Lamplugh, a young estate agent whose disappearance in July 1986 gained widespread, national attention.

‘The Missing’ is a new podcast hosted by writer, journalist and broadcaster Pandora Sykes, which looks to re-engage public interest in the cases of the long-term missing and encourage those with information to come forward. In the weeks following the show's premiere, The Missing topped the Apple True Crime charts in the UK and Ireland, and reached Number 2 on the UK charts overall. It has been created in collaboration with UK charity Missing People and Locate International - a community interest organisation made up of ex-detectives dedicated to helping families of unsolved missing person cases find their loved ones. Previous episodes have examined the cases of Charles Hovarth-Allan, Katrice Lee, Bernadette Cooper, Andrew Gosden and Fatima Mohamed-Ali. Listen to previous episodes here.

Today’s episode of ‘The Missing’ explores the case of 25-year-old estate agent Suzy Lamplugh, who disappeared in July 1986. In the episode, Suzy’s brother Richard speaks to ‘The Missing’ about his sister’s disappearance, with hopes of eliciting information that could finally unlock the case and provide long-sought answers. Suzy’s last recorded meeting was a house viewing with a man known only as ‘Mr Kipper’, but after years of investigation he has never come forward and is yet to be identified. Presumed murdered, and officially declared dead in 1994, the truth about what happened to Suzy still remains unknown.

‘The Missing’ is a Podimo podcast series produced by What’s The Story Sounds and made in association with specialists Locate International and Missing People.
