DAVID SYLVIAN ANNOUNCES BRAND-NEW PHOTOGRAPHIC ESSAY 'ERR'OUT NOVEMBER 19 VIA GRÖNLAND RECORDSPRE-ORDER BELOWOFFICIAL PRESS RELEASENEWS PROVIDED BY Murray Chalmers PR David Sylvian is delighted to announce the publication of a brand-new photographic essay entitled ERR, available from November 19th via Grönland Records. With text by Shinya Fujiwara and an original poem ‘a road is a shape of devotion’ by Daisy Lafarge, ERR is a limited-edition publication of 1,500 copies, with 500 copies signed and numbered by David, as well as 50 signed, unnumbered copies that will be randomly distributed among the remaining edition. The essay documents David’s travels through the US by car between late 2019 and early 2020. All of the photographs were originally shot on an iPhone which sparked digital errors in the resulting images, which intrigued David as he worked on the photographs by night at the end of each day of travel. Speaking about ERR, David says: ‘In 2019, sometime in late October, I set out across the US by car in the hopes of finding a new home and place of work. I’d just returned from two years in Berlin, Germany and was happy to be on ‘home’ turf. I’ve driven across the US more times than I can recall. It’s never been an unwelcome chore, rather an adventure, the promise of opportunity, an escape, a delight as I love to drive, absorbing the beauty of the country that’s been my home for over 27 years. I inadvertently made a document of a period that covered pre-to mid-pandemic in the US. I remain on the road to this day’. ERR is art directed by Sylvian with assistant art direction by Yuka Fujii. The graphic design and typography are provided by Giles Dunn for Punkt, London. ERR arrives in landscape form measuring 235 × 300 mm in size with over 216 pages and a full dust jacket over foil blocked case cover. David Sylvian’s new photographic essay ERR is released on November 19th. For more information, please visit below. PRE-ORDER 'ERR' HERE: https://
