The single is the second track to be released from Jess’ forthcoming project “The Piano Doctor Volume II - A Year Of Reflective Piano Music”, and follows the December premiere of ‘Into The Light’.
Mastered at the world famous Abbey Road Studios, “The Piano Doctor Volume II - A Year Of Reflective Piano Music” is the perfect listening experience for anyone seeking a moment of tranquil contemplation or relaxation. After capturing the public’s attention with her practice of playing piano for patients and staff at the end of her shifts at The Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital last year, she saw there was a wider appetite for music designed for peace and relaxation, and released her first EP “The Piano Doctor”.
Now following a year of working on the frontline of the pandemic, Jess returns with a new album inspired by her experiences, and informed by her research into the therapeutic benefits of classical music.
Speaking about ‘Beautiful Endings’, Jess reflects:
“Beautiful Endings’ is a piece I composed about people being reunited with their loved ones. Every patient admitted to hospital embarks on a journey: as healthcare professionals, our hope and aim is that their journey ends with them leaving hospital and returning home to their families. The joy of these reunions has been amplified during the peak of the pandemic, when understandably, families could not come into hospital to visit their loved ones. I experienced some incredibly memorable moments of reunions, and this piece is written about the emotions involved in this ‘beautiful ending’ to their hospital journey.”
“The Piano Doctor: Volume II – A Year Of Reflective Piano Music” will be released via Silent Beat Records and Platoon on February 11 2022. Tracklist is below.
