"Another Love is genuinely chilling…Can't Pretend's gothic atmospherics, febrile melodramatics and sense of imminent collapse recall, variously, Bowie, early Ed Harcourt and Muse. Engrossing" - Sunday Times Culture

"This piano-playing heart-throb was given the seal of approval by Lily Rose Cooper…and for good reason. You'll be hooked by the arresting energy of his voice" – NME

“His penchant for poignancy and his versatile voice have nominated him as an artist who could potentially fill the void left behind by tragic US singer Jeff Buckley…2013 looks set to be a momentous period for Odell” – The Sun (SFTW)

Tom Odell will release his amazing debut album “Long Way Down” on April 15th, through ITNO / Columbia Records. His debut single “Hold Me” will be released on April 1st.

The 22 year old from Chichester was recently presented with the prestigious BRITs Critics’ Choice Award. The first male ever to win the award, Tom follows in the footsteps of past recipients including Adele (2008) and Florence and the Machine (2009).

“I hope the album feels human and real and that there are some flaws – because the flaws help make it what it is. Really, I’d love to live in a time when music felt uncontrived and imperfect and gave people a real sense of elevation. When it’s sad I want it to be REALLY sad. When it’s happy I want it to feel euphoric…I suppose I want the record to express the heightened feelings and emotions we all get in our lives”, says Tom.

Signed by Lily Rose Cooper to her label In The Name Of (ITNO), 2012 saw Tom make his TV debut on Later with Jools Holland with a stunning performance of his hugely acclaimed track “Another Love”. A whirlwind of nominations, including the BBC Sound of 2013 Poll and MTV Brand New for 2013 shortlists, surrounding the release of his debut EP “Songs From Another Love” spawned comparisons by critics to the likes of Jeff Buckley and early Bowie. Tom’s combined love of film and literature (which range through classics like F. Scott Fitzgerald and Kerouac to Woody Allen and Wes Anderson) also inform his debut album.

Tom embarks on his first ever headline tour this March, which has already been upgraded to bigger venues. Opening on March 1st at The HMV Institute in Birmingham and closing at London Dingwalls on March 12th, Tom will then return to London to play two sold out dates at the Electric Ballroom on May 23rd and May 28th.  For full tour dates please visit www.tomodell.com.
