Meghan Trainor says her collaboration with One Direction's Harry Styles could see the light of day soon.

The US star previously revealed that the pair wrote a song called 'Someday Maybe'.

It was coined on Trainor's ukulele, but no song has yet been forthcoming.

Speaking to the Metro, the 'No' star suggested that a release could be imminent.

She said: "We only wrote that one song that will hopefully come out soon."

Trainor meanwhile recently said that she feels Styles has a big future ahead of him as One Direction take a break.

She revealed: "We have mutual friends – he’s signed to CAA like me and Adele.

“CAA do everything, movies, sport, and are kind people, they nurture your career and he will be huge.

"Harry is killing it out here in the US, songwriting for Ariana Grande and myself – he’s really talented. I can’t wait to hear what he’s got going.”
