The Barclaycard Mercury Prize Awards Show takes place on Wednesday, 30 October.  The event is to be held at the Roundhouse in London and hosted by broadcaster Lauren Laverne.  Featuring performances from many of the 2013 shortlisted artists, the evening will culminate in the announcement of the overall winner of the 2013 Barclaycard Mercury Prize for Album of the Year. 
 
TV coverage of the event will increase in 2013, with dedicated programmes airing on Channel 4 - and on More4 for the first time.  Live coverage of the event is being broadcast on the night, starting with a 45 minute programme on More4 at 9.30pm. The overall winner is also being revealed live on Channel 4 at 10.00pm.  The entire Awards Show, including all live performances, will be broadcast in full the following night (Thursday 31 October) at 11.00pm on Channel 4.  Nick Grimshaw is to present coverage on both channels from a specially created Barclaycard Unwind Backstage Bar at the Roundhouse.
