Michael Bublé's jazz crown under threat from Glee star

Canadian Crooner Michael Bublé's jazz crown is under threat from Glee star Matthew Morrison.

Morrison recently began his tour of the "symphony circuit" - a network of 2,000-seater theatres across America.

The singer-and-actor is keen to make his mark on the stage - and has been taking notes from Bublé's show-stopping performances.

He explained: "I'm trying to do something different by incorporating dance. I'll sing for a bit then there'll be an instrumental break and I'll just bust out a whole dance. I want to be like Michael Bublé mixed with Gene Kelly."

Morrison - who plays teacher Will Schuester in hit musical TV drama Glee - also revealed that he greatly regretted his decision to join a boyband earlier on in his career as the opportunity fell flat on its face.

He told website Mr Porter: "It's one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made in my life. It was at the height of *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys, so I really thought I was going to make a lot of money being in a boy band."
