Marcus Collins drums up an army of fans on QVC

Having wowed audiences with his unique sound and style in the latest series of X Factor, Marcus Collins once again didn’t disappoint as he entertained QVC audiences last night singing tracks from his self titled new album.

Marcus’ distinctive smooth vocals shone through whilst singing ‘Your Love Is Lifting Me Higher’ (one of his best performances on X Factor) and his debut single ‘Seven Nation Army’. When asked about his choice to cover the classic rock track originally by The White Stripes he said,

“I’ve always been a fan of the original version of ‘Seven Nation Army’ and hope people like my take on it. I’m so happy to be releasing my debut album. I’ve worked on my music every minute possible since I came out of the show and can’t wait for everyone to be able to hear it”

The cheeky Liverpudlian is following in the footsteps of Westlife, Charlotte Church, Dolly Parton, Joe McElderry and Ronan Keating by performing on QVC. Marcus also claimed his mum would be watching his performance saying, ‘I love QVC so this is cool for me, my mum always watches QVC, she’s obsessed with it!’.

The X-Factor finalist has also written a number of tracks for the album, of which friend and mentor Gary Barlow is executive producer and has also been in the studio with Brian Rawling (David Bowie, Kylie, Girls Aloud).
