Mumford & Sons have confirmed a number of tour dates due to take place later this year in the UK and Ireland.

The English folk act released their new album 'Babel' in the UK today (September 24), which follows up their hugely successful 2009 debut 'Sigh No More'.

They followed the album release with a batch of tour dates that are set to take place at the end of the year.

Mumford & Sons will play a number of relatively intimate shows in England, Scotland and Wales in November before hitting the arenas in December.

The full tour itinerary is as follows:

November 23 - Regent Theatre, Ipswich
November 25 - Caird Hall, Dundee
November 26 - The Sands Centre, Carlisle
November 27 - Venue Cymru, Llandudno
December 4 - Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle
December 5 - SECC, Glasgow
December 7 - LG Arena, Birmingham
December 10 - Arena, Manchester
December 11 - O2 Arena, London
December 13 - CIA, Cardiff
December 15 - Odyssey Arena, Belfast
December 16 - The O2, Dublin
