Mumford & Sons bassist "recovering nicely" after brain surgery

Mumford & Sons bass player Ted Dwane is doing well after brain surgery, according to his bandmate Winston Marshall.

As previously reported, the British group issued a statement on Tuesday (June 11) to announce that Dwane was due to undergo an operation after a blood clot was discovered on his brain.

The band cancelled three US shows as a result and they said that they expected the bassist to make a speedy recovery.

Banjo player Winston Marshall took to Twitter today (June 12) to confirm that his bandmate was doing okay following the procedure, saying:

"Ted is recovering nicely from surgery. He's a brave little boy. Thanks for all your support. We are very grateful."

Mumford & Sons' next scheduled gig is in Manchester, TN on June 15.
