Mumford & Sons bassist thanks fans after brain surgery

Mumford & Sons bassist Ted Dwane has spoken out for the first time since undergoing brain surgery.

As previously reported, the British group cancelled a number of US shows recently after a blood clot was discovered on the surface of his brain.

The group later said that the "heroic" musician was recovering well from the operation.

Dwane today (June 17) posted on Mumford & Sons' official website a photo of himself looking well along with the text:

"Bear with a sore head! Thanks so much for all the well wishing, it seems to be working! I'm home. Ted xx."

The band meanwhile are due to headline this year's Glastonbury Festival on June 30 and the group are still scheduled to perform.
