Soda State are Mike “M” Ridley and Sam Tracie, a fast-emerging DJ and producer duo who are part human and part digital avatar. They release their next track ‘Electrified’ on today via their own Club Soda label.

Following on with their now signature brand of breezy escapism, ‘Electrified’ is full of blissful melodies and bright pin sharp production, all layered with cosmic retro synth lines and sublime pop vocals. Their releases are built to make you feel good, filled with nostalgic references, evoking happy memories of your younger self.

In a short space of time, the duo has risen exponentially making their mark with a series of recent standout releases. Following their debut ‘The Look’ with releases of singles ‘Midnight’, ‘Way To Go’, ‘Gold’ and ‘Portal’, they have already clocked over 2.5 million streams on their first EP, establishing themselves as serious ‘one’s to watch’. They have also recently remixed Jonas Blue’s ‘Hear Me Say’ and Owen Westlake ‘So Much Love’ as well as producing the Sophie And The Giants smash ‘Right Now’.

Soda State’s story is one of mystique and adventure. The pair were making music in their London based studio and through a combination of synths and gadgets they stumbled on a sound, a combination of 0’s &1’s which opened a portal, transporting them to the alternate dimension, ’Soda State’. Here they were transformed into digital versions of their physical bodies becoming avatars and they have been travelling between the dimensions ever since.

This is now their 6th time reopening the portal, doing so with every release and they have now built a better understanding of how to pass through it. As they begin to explore what is possible, they are working on a map of the island and are slowly starting to understand exactly what Soda State is.

In true Soda State style they have also created a new video which encapsulates all the best things about their ethos; nostalgia, carefree happiness and references to the past & never-ending long summer days. With a huge amount of the island left to explore, this is only the beginning of their journey towards harnessing their true potential on the island.
