Neon Jungle hope to emulate the Spice Girls: 'We're so competitive'

Neon Jungle have revealed that they hope to replicate the Spice Girls' global success.

The British quartet released their debut album 'Welcome to the Jungle' on Monday (July 28) in the UK and it seems they're thinking big.

Pressparty caught up with singer Shereen Cutkelvin and the Scot told us that they have global aspirations.

When asked if they look up to other British acts who have made an impact in the US, such as Little Mix, the singer said:

"Yeah, they've been doing great. We've done a few gigs with them. But we also really love the Spice Girls and the way they took over the world."

Cutkelvin was then asked if she thinks Neon Jungle can achieve the same levels of fame as the Spice Girls, with the music star replying:

"Definitely. We're so competitive in ourselves that we want to do the best that we can. Hopefully we can live up to that."

The singer meanwhile also suggested that the group hope to branch out into other genres in future material.

She said: "[Our debut album] does represent Neon Jungle, but at the same time we'd really like to try out different kinds of music and I'm sure we'll try out more different styles in the future. The sky's the limit really - there's nothing we wouldn't do."
