Toronto-based alternative-pop singer-songwriter magenta returns with her highly anticipated new single, ‘Your Love Is Real.’ Known for her honest, emotional storytelling, magenta continues to capture the raw beauty of personal experiences through her unique blend of dreamy alt-pop soundscapes.

‘Your Love Is Real’ is the first taste of magenta’s forthcoming third EP, slated for early 2025. The song marks a new chapter in her music, brimming with the excitement and vulnerability of experiencing love for the first time. “I wrote the song in June of 2023, one month into dating my girlfriend,” magenta explains. “It was the first time I’d ever felt something so special, and writing the song was like a celebration of that feeling.”

Crafted with longtime collaborator and producer Joshua Northwood, the track showcases Magenta’s growth as an artist. ‘Your Love Is Real’ weaves atmospheric synths, tender guitar lines, and magenta’s signature emotive vocals into a deeply personal and relatable anthem.

Having first gained recognition with her debut single ‘Finding Myself’ in 2021 and the well-received EP ‘Lost in Plain Sight’ in 2022, magenta has quickly established herself as a rising star in the Canadian music scene. Her sophomore EP ‘Can You See the Beginning’” released in 2023, further cemented her status, with the single ‘Weighing Me Down’ earning a spot on Spotify’s Fresh Finds Canada Playlist.
