Nashville-based alternative pop/rock artist Zëta Ræ, the genre-bending brainchild of Hannah Schmeling, unveils her latest single, “24”. A cathartic exploration of burnout, self-doubt, and resilience, the track combines introspective lyricism with grungy instrumentation to deliver a powerful anthem for anyone navigating the chaos of their twenties.

Born out of personal turmoil on her 24th birthday, “24” reflects on the relentless pace of life and the pressures of societal expectations. Zëta’s smooth, reflective verses build into a punchy, anthemic chorus—"I’m tired of running, only twenty-something"—capturing the frustration of unrealised dreams and the haunting fear of time slipping away too quickly.

"At its core, 24 is about offering catharsis for those caught in the rush of life and gently reminding that there’s still time for growth and discovery," Zëta explains. "It’s never too late to start over, life and art transcend industry, and you don’t have to define yourself by your societal merit."

Zëta Ræ wrote the song during a period of deep personal reflection, sparked by the loss of a professional collaboration and a missed opportunity to embark on her first tour. What began as a moment of self-doubt and grief transformed into a song of hope and perseverance. “Thank God I didn’t quit,” Zëta reflects, “because now I get to share this.”

Zëta Ræ is the sonic alter ego of Hannah Schmeling, whose music blends alternative pop/rock with influences ranging from shoegaze and jazz to hyperpop and soul. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Zëta has carved out a unique niche with her introspective lyrics and eclectic sound, captivating audiences across the U.S. and beyond.
