Niall Horan is re-recording some of his album tracks with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra conducted by Gavin Murphy.

The recording sessions are taking place at RTÉ's Radio Studio 1. Their first rehearsal was last Friday (April 13).

Horan said: "I made an album that came from the heart, my heart is in Ireland and I feel that there's no better way than to go on national television and play those songs with a 45-piece orchestra - and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra is one of the best in Europe, if not the world."

'Flicker' is Horan's debut solo album. It reached No. 1 in both US and Ireland on its October release. It reached No. 3 in the UK.

The RTÉ Concert Orchestra recording of 'Flicker' will be broadcast next month.
