It's Been a Huge Week for Irish Heartthrob Niall Horan

It's been a huge and unforgettable week for Irish heartthrob, Niall Horan, who is celebrating bagging his first UK Number One album, with Heartbreak Weather.

The new record was named as one of the most anticipated of 2020 by Rolling Stone, and includes the star's hit single, "No Judgement".

Horan’s second album triumphed in the charts after an incredibly close week-long battle with good pal Lewis Capaldi’s album, Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent at No. 2, and The Shires’ new record Good Years at No. 3. In the end, just 2,300 chart sales separated the Top 3.

Heartbreak Weather is the One Direction star's first UK Number 1 album as a solo artist. His debut album, Flicker, reached Number 3 in 2017.

About his latest solo effort, Horan explained recently.

"I wanted to write these songs from the start of a relationship through to the end — and from different sides — instead of every song being quite sad and all about me. Because when you go through a breakup, it's not sad all the time."

Celebrating the news, he told Official Charts: "To get to No. 1 in the UK is huge for me. I spent 14 months on this album and to have it received like this is just incredible for me. To get a No. 1 is so hard to do, so for the people to wrap their ears around my music in the way they have is also incredible".
