Nick Jonas on solo career: 'I've been authentic and true to myself'

Singer Nick Jonas has opened up about branching out on his own outside of the Jonas Brothers and confessed that while it has been a daunting challenge, it has also been very special.

Speaking to Access Hollywood recently, the 'Jealous' heartthrob admitted that he's proud to think that he can still reach a new demographic now that he's recording and performing alone:

"It’s been a crazy year-and-a-half, a lot of really special experiences and things that even in my eight year journey with my brothers that I never experienced, that I’m experiencing now. And just seeing the people connect with the music that I made, you know, I took a chance and stepped out on my own and tried to do something different, which is always scary.

Jonas went onto add that being able to connect with his fans on a solo level has been incredibly rewarding: "But I really feel like in kind of just being authentic and true to what was relevant to me and what I want to talk about, it connected with people."
