Nick Jonas on going solo: 'You've got to break down barriers'

Heartthrob Nick Jonas has revealed that going solo was a brave and risky thing to do because of his history with the Jonas Brothers.

Speaking to On Air with Ryan this morning about going solo, he confessed that it was a difficult transition because people already had such a preconceived idea about who he was:

“It was definitely an all-hands-on-deck group effort to get it done because there was a lot of preconceived ideas coming from the Brothers and what that was, and my experience with Disney, and other things. You just got to take time to break down some of those barriers, but it’s been amazing to see people respond to the music and some of the visuals that have gone along with that and the acting projects.”

Jonas also opened up about his newly unveiled single 'Levels', adding: “It’s so nerve-wracking! Especially since it’s uptempo and requires me digging deeper on the dance side of things."

"I have theater experience and have done that style of dance, but with my stuff, it’s more natural movements and I’m really trying to push myself a little bit to go more into the dance thing. So I’ve been working on that and busting that out for the show. It’s going to be interesting.”
